Advocate Charles Mnisi will now represent Muzi Sibiya, accused number One in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial. This follows the death of Sibiya’s lawyer, Thulani Mngomezulu in December last year.

Mnisi has been representing accused 3, Mthobisi Mncube.

Sibiya, Mncube and three others are currently on trial for the soccer star’s 2014 death.

The case has been postponed to 20 January for the main trial in the High Court in Pretoria.

Advocate Mnisi informs the court of the new developments during a special sitting.

“ I was approached to represent Mr Sibiya and I have acceded to it. There are finer details that need to be finalised. In principle, I will be assisting Mr Sibiya with the conduct of his defence. I have spoken to him and informed him of the decision.”
