Five alleged drug lords are set to appear in the Groblersdal Magistrate’s Court in Limpopo on April 14, 2025.

Frederick Botha and four others, including three Mexican nationals, were in court on Tuesday when the case was postponed. They were arrested on a farm in July last year.

Police found drugs worth over R2 billion and alleged that the group operated a drug manufacturing laboratory at the Thaba Monate farm in Groblersdal.

Authorities say the three Mexican nationals have been in the country illegally for more than two years. The accused face multiple charges, including dealing in drugs.

Their case has been transferred to the Groblersdal Regional Court. They remain in police custody.
