Red Bull’s Max Verstappen won the Qatar Grand Prix ahead of Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc.

Ferrari’s other driver Carlos Sainz finished sixth.

Verstappen started second on the grid, even though he took pole, due a penalty for obstructing Mercedes driver George Russell.

Crowned champion for the fourth time in a row at the Las Vegas Grand Prix, Verstappen looked dominant in Qatar, after a mid-season slump threatened his title.

Mclaren’s Oscar Piastri finished third, with teammate Lando Norris finishing tenth, allowing Ferrari to close the gap in the constructor’s championship race.
