Defence counsel Zandile Mshololo in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial says there is no evidence that suggest accused number five, Fisokuhle Ntuli drove the car allegedly used as the getaway vehicle when Meyiwa was killed.
Ntuli and four other accused are on trial at the High Court in Pretoria for the 2014 murder of the Bafana Bafana captain.
Meyiwa was shot and killed while at Kelly Khumalo’s parental home in Vosloorus on Gauteng’s East Rand.
Advocate Mshololo has been cross examining Brigadier Gininda on the hired vehicle on the day of the murder allegedly used by Ntuli.
Gininda: We do not have records as to who hired that vehicle to say it’s not accused number 5.
Mshololo: Hang on there, the name of the infringer does not appear as accused 5?
Gininda: No, but equally so, it does not say he is not a driver. I cannot say accused five was not driving the vehicle because I do not have the record of 2014 referred to my Lord, so I don’t know who hired the vehicle.
Mshololo: So, you don’t know who was driving on this date?
Gininda: Yes, I do not know because I cannot say accused five was driving because I do not have that evidence.
