The KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) Department of Cooperative Governance says disaster management teams are closely monitoring weather conditions as disruptive rains are expected later today.

The warning particularly applies to the districts of Zululand, uThukela, uMzinyathi, uMgungundlovu, King Cetshwayo, and Harry Gwala.

Residents are warned that heavy rains could lead to localised flooding and disruptions of traffic.
