Meanwhile, Sports, Arts and Culture Minister Gayton McKenzie has urged South African artists and musicians to protect their legacies by obtaining legal representation.
McKenzie was speaking after visiting the families of the late musicians Winnie Khumalo and Victor “Doc Shebeleza” Bogopane yesterday.
The two musicians died days apart last week.
Sports, Arts and Culture Minister Gayton McKenzie says, “They should get a proper lawyer to make sure that they get their royalties and I have learnt in this department since I’ve become a minister that people represent people and they don’t know that they are being represented by other people. The music industry is a doggy dog industry, they need to get a lawyer, don’t let friends run around representing you.”
