The Eastern Cape Sunrisers registered a 52-run win against the Pretoria Capitals at St George’s Park in Gqeberha last night.
The Pretoria Capitals won the toss and elected to bowl first. But things did not go their way as the hosts pushed and recorded 149 runs for seven, with captain Aiden Markram leading from the front with his 68 runs from 55 balls, not out.
Efforts by Eathan Bosch and Jack Will were 3 wickets for 33 and 2 for 18 respectively but were not enough to help the Capitals.
Meanwhile, Marco Jansen and Liam Dawson shined with the ball, stopping the visitors in their tracks.
Hansen’s 4 wickets for 13 and Dawson’s 3 for 17 gave the Sunrisers an easy win in front of the orange army.
