Some of the bereaved families identified the bodies of their relatives at the scene.
“When we received the call, we were so shattered. These kinds of killings are common in this area. It is not the first time we are seeing this. It’s just that it is the first time we are experiencing this as a family. If possible, this tavern should be closed,” says one family member.
“We wish to see the people behind these shootings behind bars. A lot of people were shot at here. The police must play their part. They always warn us about tavern shootings, but we never thought this day would come to us. The number of people who were shot here has left us terrified,” says another family member.
