The Eastern Cape celebrated the Women’s Day with news that Tsolo born Zozibini Tunzi was the 61st Miss SA.
EC premier Oscar Mabuyane welcomed the news and celebrated with the young beau. This follows a visit by Mabuyane and members of his provincial executive including Minister Stella Ndabeni Abrahams to the three beauty queens from the EC prior to the pageant.
Said Mabuyane: “Zozibini Tunzi’s victory at the highly contested Miss SA, taking home the 61st Miss SA is great news for this young woman from Tsolo, her family and a wonderful motivation to many young women from rural areas that they too can win Miss SA crown and accomplish anything they pursue in life,” Mabuyane said.
He said the provincial government will find ways to work with Tunzi in a number of projects that will be in line with the priorities of her reign and interests linked to the realisation of the development goals of the province.
