Three men have been gunned down in Ntuzuma north of Durban in KwaZulu-Natal.

Police say the incident happened in the early hours of the morning.

KwaZulu-Natal Police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda says the incident is under investigation.

“When police arrived at the scene, three bodies of men in their late 20s were found with multiple gunshot wounds on the pavement, not very far from a tavern. Details are still sketchy and as such, police are still working hard to establish how the incident happened, the possible motive as well as the suspects behind the murders.”

Meanwhile, at nearby Inanda, twelve people were arrested yesterday in connection with the murders of five people.

Shocked community members discovered the bodies of five men who had been hacked to death and their bodies dumped in a local sports field.
