American brand Jeep has revealed a V8-powered Wrangler concept to whet the appetite of its enthusiast fans.
It has been many years since the Wrangler last featured a V8 motor. It was 1981 and since then, Jeep’s customers have been lusting after some old-school muscle power.

Powering the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Concept is a 6.4-litre V8 motor delivering 335 kW and 610 Nm, and there’s an 8-speed automatic transmission. Jeep claims a 0-100 kph time of under 5 seconds, which sounds like a recipe for fun.
Being a Jeep, the Wrangler Rubicon 392 Concept is still exceptionally capable when the tarmac ends and it features Dana 44 axles, a full-time two-speed transfer case, electric front and rear-axle lockers, 37-inch mud-terrain tires and a Jeep Performance Parts two-inch lift kit from accessories department Mopar.
On the exterior, the new Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Concept really looks the part with its bronze-accentuated tow hooks, badging, springs, shocks and wheels. The half doors are unmistakably Jeep and the entire package looks ready and capable. It’s a concept for now, but given the American market’s love for muscle, it wouldn’t surprise us if it eventually went into production.
