Judge Thogomelani Tshidada says the trial of the Radzuma siblings, accused of killing two South African Municipal Workers Union (Samwu) leaders in Limpopo over a VBS-related matter, lacks progress.
Tshidada says the three accused keep insisting that all state witnesses be called to testify at the trial in the Thohoyandou High Court.
Simon, Percy and Ndivhuwo Radzuma are accused of killing Timson Musetsho and Ronald Mani in January 2019.
Musetsho and Mani were vocal against Vhembe District Municipality investing public funds in the now defunct VBS Mutual Bank.
“ Look we must make progress on real issues but we are spending time on issues which are common course, which are unchallenged, this doctor, I don’t think in my mind he is going to tell us who killed that person, his involvement. It does not even implicate them or involve them in anyway whatsoever but we must be mindful of the time that we should utilise fruitfully like in this instance,” said Judge Tshidada.
