Police have arrested three suspects after they were caught transporting a dead body in a wheelbarrow in Isipingo, south of Durban.

Upon questioning, the suspects failed to explain what they were doing with the body.

KwaZulu-Natal Police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda says, “Police in Isipingo have arrested three men for tampering with a dead body and for defeating the ends of justice.”

Netshiunda says, “Police received reports of three men who were transporting a corpse in a wheelbarrow and when police arrived at the scene, the three men were found pushing the decomposing body in a wheelbarrow from Pilgrim informal Settlement and with them failing to explain what they were doing with the body, they were immediately arrested.”
