Forecaster Wiseman Dlamini says the warning is only in place for Friday.
Looking ahead to Saturday and Sunday, he says there’s a 60% chance of showers and thundershowers from Saturday afternoon.
“Looking at the weather forecast for today. We are still expecting a 30% chance of showers and thundershowers over the central parts of the province as well as coastal areas. However, over the western parts of KZN, we do expect a 50% chance of showers and thundershowers. Also, there is a yellow level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms over municipalities like Uthukela District, Amajuba, some parts of Umzinyathi, Umgungundlovu and Harry Gwala,” says Dlamini.
