Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife says one of the three lions that had been living in the bush in the Gluckstadt area near Vryheid in northern KwaZulu-Natal, has been tracked and killed.

The three lions were spotted killing livestock in the area last month.

In a statement, the organisation says the remaining two lions escaped into nearby bushes.

Ezemvelo is appealing to the local community to immediately inform the local traditional leadership, police or Ezemvelo if they spot the remaining two escaped lions.
