Defending Nedbank Cup champions Orlando Pirates will face second-tier Baroka FC at the Orlando Stadium in a round-of-16 match on Saturday afternoon.
The Motsepe Foundation Championship side recently appointed Joel Masutha as the new head coach.
Pirates coach, Jose Riviero, says that has thrown a spanner in the works in terms of his planning.
“We have some experience in these type of games, in the cup, and you try to get the information about the opponent, what they are doing. They play with different regulations, in terms of the players they can use, and a lot of changes in the coaching side and that is a Baroka decision.”
Riviero adds that the most important thing is to know more about the players.
“So, you can more or less understand their strength and weaknesses. We as Pirates face first division teams, usually you face a different team with a special game plan, extra motivation. It’s a big game for us but most especially for Baroka.”
