Orlando Pirates have created history by beating arch-rivals, Kaizer Chiefs, four times in a row for the first time in history.

Pirates recorded a narrow one-nil victory in the Soweto Derby at the FNB Stadium this afternoon, the 10th successive time that the two giants were separated by just one goal.

Patrick Maswanganyi scored the winner in time added on.

 

The result means that Pirates are now just three points behind defending champions, Mamelodi Sundowns, in second place on the log. Both teams have played 12 matches.

Chiefs remain fifth in the standings, three points behind Limpopo-based Sekhukhune United.
