The police in the Eastern Cape are searching for the two foreign nationals who were kidnapped this morning in the Nelson Mandela Bay Region.

SAPS have pleaded with community members to come forward with the information to curb the rate of kidnappings in the region.

Last year, the man alleged to be the mastermind behind the kidnapping of two Nelson Mandela Bay business owners was refused bail in the Gqeberha Magistrate’s Court, as he was already on parole after serving a murder sentence at the time of the kidnappings.

Eastern Cape SAPS Major General Vuyisile Ncata says they have not yet made any arrests, “We are confirming that as the police of foreign nationals, we are working against the clock to restore our dignity. We are busy following all the leads, we are encouraging every time we come with information upfront to assist to make the arrest and to recover the two victims.”
