Mashimbyi, who played for the Titans, Knights and Griquas, has over a decade of coaching experience, including multiple championship wins with the Titans.
He also had stints as bowling coach of the Proteas men’s team and the SA20 franchise, the Paarl Royals.
Mashimbyi replaces Dillon du Preez who was appointed interim head coach following the departure of Hilton Moreeng.
