Holidaymakers at Sun City, North West, have had their celebrations cut short after severe storms caused extensive damage to their vehicles.

In videos seen circulating on social media, the resort staff worked endlessly to clear the parking area of trees that had fallen and damaged multiple vehicles.

These storm damages come amid the South African Weather Service’s Yellow level 4 warning of disruptive rains leading to flooding and damage to property and infrastructure expected to persist across provinces including North West, Gauteng and KwaZulu Natal until Wednesday.
