Two suspects have appeared in the Pretoria North Magistrate’s Court where the case was postponed to 1 April for further investigations.
Speaking at the victims’ memorial, Lesufi criticised the police for failing to do their job.
“The Soshanguve Police Station needs to be overhauled because the way it is operating and the way it’s providing services, unfortunately it’s creating problems for our communities. And I wrote to the minister. If the police were doing their work, there was going to be no need for these young people to patrol in this (area),” says Lesufi.
