Strong, shifting winds have made firefighting efforts challenging.
Crews continue to monitor and suppress the fire, especially as it nears the De Hoek Mountain Resort’s trigger line. No infrastructure has been impacted or is currently at risk.
The region is currently experiencing a heatwave. However, cooler temperatures are expected tomorrow with rain forecast for the Garden Route, but not the Little Karoo.
Firefighting efforts continue.
