TS Galaxy went one place up in the Betway Premiership log, after a 2-nil over Cape Town City at the Mbombela Stadium in Mpumalanga. City have dropped to seventh on the log standings after suffering their seventh loss of the season.
Both goals were scored in the first half of the match. Both sides did not create enough scoring chances until late in the first half.
Samukelo Kabini managed to break the deadlock in the 38th minute. City got an opportunity to level the score shortly afterwards, but Darwin Gonzalez was denied any of the upright.
Then Bosnian Dzenan Zajmovic gave the home side a 2-nil lead on the stroke of half-time.
Since taking over the reins at TS Galaxy as coach in November, Adnan Beganovic’s good record continues. He is still unbeaten in the last 10 matches, having achieved five wins and five draws across all competitions.
